SANDRO invites Dutch artist ROP VAN MIERLO to express his world in the exclusive WILD ANIMALS capsule collection.

Rop Van Mierlo works in a variety of media, with drawing and painting as the starting points for his creative process. He uses a technique learned in elementary school, “wet-on-wet” to achieve a watercolor look, and depicts colorful animals. Control - or the lack of it - is an important element in his work. His illustration book Wild Animals, won a Dutch Design Award in 2011.

Frog, rabbit, cat or koala, the SANDRO studio affixed Rop Van Mierlo’s animals to various pieces in the autumn-winter 2024 collection: a windbreaker, flowing shirts and jersey t-shirts and sweatshirts complemented by shorts. Rop Van Mierlo has also reinterpreted the SANDRO logo with a wet effect.
